BMW iX3: 100,000 Orders – A European Success Story with Hungarian Manufacturing Roots
The story is particularly significant for us because the iX3’s success has a direct connection to Hungary. Series production started at BMW’s Debrecen plant in autumn 2025, and the facility has already produced around 50,000 iX3 vehicles. The ramp-up of production in Debrecen represents one of the fastest new-model launches in BMW’s history, while the plant could potentially reach a long-term production capacity of up to 150,000 vehicles per year.
Behind these automotive volumes, however, it is not only production capacity that matters. The stability and scalability of quality assurance processes are equally critical. This is where the iX3 also plays an important role for Miell Quality: we carry out inspections of several components related to the model at different locations, supporting the reliability of production processes and ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met.
For us, therefore, the iX3’s success is about more than just the market performance of BMW’s new electric model. The growing production volumes and strong demand for the vehicle also mean increasing workloads, long-term professional opportunities and further potential for growth for Miell Quality.
With the Neue Klasse, BMW is not only opening a new chapter in its electric vehicle strategy. It is also creating new volumes and professional challenges across Hungary’s automotive supplier and quality assurance ecosystem.
100,000 orders. 50,000 iX3s produced in Debrecen. Behind the growing production volumes are increasingly complex quality assurance requirements - The challenge is here. And we are ready for it!
